Shipping & Processing

We lovingly pack and ship your orders from our studio within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after we receive your order confirmation email. As soon as your goodies are on their way, you’ll get a shipping confirmation with tracking details so you can follow the journey to your doorstep.

Domestic Shipping

Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout, based on your order size and shipping address. We work hard to keep rates fair and delivery times reasonable — because we know you're excited to start creating!

A Note on International Shipping

At this time, we’re only able to ship within the United States. We hope to expand our reach in the future — stay tuned, and thank you for your understanding.

Returns & Refunds

We hope you love everything you receive from The Hemmingbird — every item is chosen and packed with care. That said, we understand that sometimes things just aren’t quite right.

If you need to make a return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order at kira@thehemmingbird.com. We’ll walk you through the return process and do our best to make it easy and fair.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition and packaging.

  • Unfortunately, we can’t accept returns on cut fabric, sale items, or gift cards — thank you for understanding.

Once your return is received and approved, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, please email us at kira@thehemmingbird.com within 7 days of delivery so we can make it right. Whenever possible, we’ll offer a replacement or exchange — but please note that some of our artisan-made goods are one-of-a-kind or limited in quantity. In those cases, we’ll issue a full refund instead.
